GreenPages Earns Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) Report Demonstrating Stringent Security and Confidentiality Controls

Kittery, ME—October 2, 2014—GreenPages, a leading systems integrator and cloud services company, today announced that it has attained a Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) report after a third party CPA’s comprehensive examination confirmed the company met stringent controls over the security and confidentiality of its systems.

A SOC 2 report is designed to meet the needs of existing or potential customers who require assurance about the internal controls at a service organization relevant to the security and confidentiality of the systems used by the service organization to process customer information, including the confidentiality or privacy of that information.

The following principles and related criteria have been developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) for use by practitioners in the performance of trust services engagements:

• Security: The system is protected against unauthorized access (both physical and logical).
• Confidentiality: Information designated as confidential is protected as committed or agreed.

A SOC 2 report is an internal control report on the services provided by a service organization to its customers and provides valuable information that existing and potential customers of the service organization need in order to assess and address the risks associated with an outsourced service.
