Past Digital Divas Technology Bootcamps
“The Digital Divas Technology Bootcamp, presented by Blue Mantis, was created to give young women at PSHS a meaningful look into the fast-growing world of technology. A team of women from Blue Mantis — an IT solutions provider based in Portsmouth, NH — led the event to inspire students to consider careers in tech.
Thirty students from Plymouth North and Plymouth South participated in this one day, in-house field trip, completing hands on projects like connecting a switch, firewall, and access point, and programming the devices for a wireless network. Industry professionals from Blue Mantis, Milton CAT, Climb Channel Solutions, and Fortinet supported students as they problem solved in real time.
Presenters highlighted a wide range of IT career paths, from project management to channel management to presales engineering, and reinforced that opportunities in technology are accessible to all students regardless of their academic track. Students were energized by the experience and raved about the day, and the school’s staff shared that they were impressed by the program and excited for the next one.”
